Most germs in a home live on a short list of surfaces: the ones everybody touches dozens of times a day. Regular cleaning removes dirt, but it does not necessarily kill what is left behind. Disinfection adds a dedicated step that targets those high-touch points with a disinfectant, applied correctly and left on long enough to work.

What we disinfect

Door handles, knobs and deadbolts, including the front door, fridge and pantry.

How we do it

Surfaces are first cleaned, because disinfectants work best on a surface free of grime. Then a disinfectant is applied and left on for the contact time the product requires before it is wiped or left to air dry. Our crews use clean cloths for each area, change them between rooms and keep kitchen and bathroom cloths separate to avoid moving germs around the house.

When to book

After someone in the household has had a cold, flu, stomach bug or other illness. Before bringing home a newborn, an elderly parent or someone with a weakened immune system. During the height of cold and flu season, from late fall through winter. Between tenants or short-term rental guests. Before and after hosting a large gathering.

Pricing

Disinfection is $0.15 per sq ft with a $179 minimum, before tax. It can be booked alone or added to a regular, deep or move clean so the home is cleaned and then disinfected in the same visit. If you prefer environmentally friendly products for the rest of your clean, add the eco green upgrade.

Healthier indoor air

Disinfecting surfaces reduces what you touch. To reduce what you breathe, pair it with BlueGuard air duct cleaning, which removes dust and debris circulating through your heating and cooling system. BlueGuard has been NADCA-certified for duct cleaning since 2020.

Making it last between visits

Disinfection is a snapshot: the moment someone touches a door handle after a cough, the surface needs attention again. Between visits, focus on the few points everyone uses, such as the front door handle, fridge handle, light switches and faucets, especially while someone in the home is sick. For households going through a long illness, a recurring clean with disinfection added to each visit keeps those surfaces under control.
