I slept so much better after having the ducts cleaned, the Technician was on time and did a professional job. Very pleased with this service.
BlueGuard gutter and eavestrough cleaning removes leaves, maple seeds, shingle grit and debris and checks downspouts so water drains away from your foundation, for homes in Ottawa, Gatineau, Durham, Montréal and Eastern Ontario. It costs $179 for a bungalow and $249 for a two-storey home, before tax, paid after the job.
From $179before tax

Eavestroughs have one job: carry rain and snowmelt off the roof and away from the house. When they fill with leaves, maple seeds and shingle grit, water overflows and pours straight down beside the foundation. In a Canadian climate, that is how basements get wet in spring, how ice dams form along the roof edge in winter and how fascia boards rot over time. A couple of cleanings a year prevent costly problems.
Debris removal: leaves, maple seeds (helicopters), pine needles, twigs, moss and shingle grit removed by hand and bagged.
Downspout check: downspouts are checked for flow and cleared of blockages where accessible.
Gutter rinse: troughs flushed where practical to confirm water runs toward the downspouts.
Visual check: we point out loose brackets, sagging sections, leaking seams or downspouts discharging too close to the foundation, so you can have them repaired.
Clean-up: debris is bagged and the ground below is left tidy.
Gutter cleaning is $179 for a bungalow and $249 for a two-storey home, before tax. Homes with three storeys, steep roofs, gutter guards or very long runs are quoted from photos.
Late fall: the most important cleaning, after most leaves have dropped and before the first hard freeze. Clear gutters let snowmelt drain during winter thaws and reduce ice dam risk.
Late spring: after the maple seeds fall in May and June, a second cleaning prevents overflow during summer storms.
Homes surrounded by tall trees may need a third cleaning in early fall.
Gutter cleaning means ladders and rooflines, which is why most homeowners prefer to leave it to an insured crew. We work only in safe weather. We do not clean gutters when they are frozen or covered in ice and snow, or during heavy rain and high winds. If the weather turns, we contact you and reschedule free.
Fall is the best time to get the whole house ready for winter. Combine gutter cleaning with a fall deep clean, garage cleaning before the car moves back in, and BlueGuard furnace and air duct cleaning before heating season. BlueGuard has been NADCA-certified for duct cleaning since 2020.
Crews are insured and background-checked, equipment is included and you pay only after the job. If you notice an issue with the cleaning, tell us within 24 hours and we will come back.

At least twice a year: in late fall after the leaves drop and in late spring after the maple seeds. Homes with many trees nearby may need a third cleaning.
Yes. Overflowing gutters dump water right beside the foundation, which is one of the most common causes of basement leaks during the spring thaw and heavy rain.
No. Frozen gutters and icy roofs are unsafe and the debris cannot be removed properly. Book your last cleaning in late fall before the first hard freeze.
We clean gutters and point out problems like loose brackets, sagging sections or leaking seams. Repairs should be done by a gutter or roofing contractor.
