About this service
The kitchen is the hardest-working room in most homes. It is where grease settles, crumbs collect, sticky fingerprints land on cabinet doors and the sink never quite stays clean. It is also the room where cleanliness matters most for health. That is why our kitchen cleaning gets more time and more steps than any other room in a BlueGuard clean.
Our kitchen checklist
Counters and backsplash: cleared where possible, wiped, degreased and sanitized, including the corners behind the kettle and toaster.
Sink and faucet: scrubbed, descaled where needed and polished so the chrome shines.
Stovetop: degreased, including burner areas on gas ranges and the glass surface on ceramic cooktops. Range hood exteriors are wiped.
Cabinet fronts and handles: wiped to remove grease film and fingerprints, which build up fastest near the stove and the garbage.
Appliance exteriors: fridge doors and handles, dishwasher front, microwave outside and oven door glass outside.
Tables, chairs and stools: wiped down.
Floors: vacuumed and mopped, with extra attention to the area in front of the stove and under the table.
Trash and recycling: emptied, with liners replaced.
Add-ons for a deeper kitchen clean
Some kitchen jobs take extra time, so they are offered as fixed-price add-ons: inside the fridge ($29), inside the oven ($29), inside cabinets ($39), dishwashing or loading the dishwasher ($20) and a second kitchen ($49), common in homes with a basement apartment or summer kitchen. If you want all of them at once, a deep clean includes the inside of the oven, fridge and cabinets.
How it is priced
Kitchen cleaning is included in every standard clean, which is priced instantly online by bedrooms, bathrooms and square footage, starting from $164 before tax for a studio. You are not charged separately for the kitchen; you simply add any extras you want.
Seasonal kitchen notes
Holiday baking in December and big family meals at Thanksgiving leave grease and flour in places that are easy to miss. Summer brings fruit flies, so we pay attention to drains, compost bins and fruit bowls. Spring is a good time to add the inside of the fridge and cabinets to your regular visit and clear out everything that accumulated over the winter.
Our standards
Our crews are insured and background-checked and bring all supplies, including degreasers safe for your surfaces. If you prefer environmentally friendly products, choose the eco upgrade for $20. You pay only after the clean, and anything missed on the checklist is re-cleaned for free if reported within 24 hours.

Kitchen Cleaning FAQ
Can I book just a kitchen cleaning?
Kitchen cleaning is part of our standard clean, which covers the whole home. If you only need extra kitchen work, add inside the fridge, oven or cabinets to your visit, or choose the hourly option at $50 per cleaner per hour with a 3-hour minimum.
Do you clean inside the oven?
Yes, as a $29 add-on to a standard clean, or included in a deep clean or move clean. Self-cleaning ovens with heavy carbon build-up may need extra time, which we will flag if needed.
Will you wash my dishes?
Dishwashing or loading the dishwasher is available as a $20 add-on. Otherwise, crews work around dishes in the sink and clean the rest of the kitchen.
Are your degreasers safe for granite and quartz counters?
Yes. We use products suited to the surface, including stone-safe cleaners for granite and quartz. Let us know in your booking notes if you have marble, butcher block or any surface with special care instructions.
I have a second kitchen in the basement. Is that extra?
Yes, an extra kitchen is a $49 add-on. It is common in homes with a basement suite or a summer kitchen.
