About this service
We change sheets every week, but the mattress underneath rarely gets any attention. Over months and years, it collects dead skin cells, sweat, body oils, dust and the dust mites that feed on them, along with the occasional spill or accident. For anyone with allergies or asthma, the bed can be one of the biggest sources of indoor allergens. Mattress cleaning gives the surface you sleep on a proper refresh.
Our mattress cleaning process
Inspection: we check the mattress type, look for stains and note anything that may not fully come out.
Deep vacuuming: a high-powered vacuum with a mattress tool removes dust, skin flakes and debris from the surface, seams and edges, where they collect most.
Spot treatment: stains such as sweat marks, drinks and minor accidents are pre-treated with products suited to mattress fabrics.
Cleaning and sanitizing: the surface is cleaned and sanitized using low-moisture methods so the mattress dries quickly and moisture does not soak deep into the core.
Deodorizing and drying: the mattress is left to air out. Most are ready for fresh sheets within a few hours.
Pricing
Mattress cleaning is $69 for a twin, $89 for a queen and $109 for a king, before tax. You can clean both sides on request, and mattresses can be added to any regular, deep or move clean so they are done during the same visit.
When to book
For allergy and asthma sufferers, before a new baby arrives, after a stomach bug or illness in the house, when moving into a furnished rental, after a pet has been sleeping on the bed, or simply once or twice a year as part of spring cleaning. It is also a good idea before putting a guest bed back into use for holiday visitors.
Allergies and indoor air
Cleaning the mattress removes allergens where you breathe them most closely, for eight hours a night. What mattress cleaning cannot do
Cleaning refreshes and sanitizes the surface, but it does not repair sagging, restore support or remove stains that have soaked deep into the core. Bed bugs need a licensed pest control company, not a cleaner. If you are unsure, send us photos before booking.

Does mattress cleaning help with allergies?

Can you treat bed bugs?
No. Bed bugs must be treated by a licensed pest control company. Once treatment is complete, we can clean the home and mattresses afterward.
Will old stains come out of my mattress?
Fresh and surface stains usually lift well. Old stains that soaked deep into the mattress may lighten but not disappear completely. We will tell you what to expect during the inspection.
