About this service
Bedrooms and living rooms are where you rest, read, watch the game and spend time with family. They do not get as greasy as a kitchen or as wet as a bathroom, but they collect a steady layer of dust, pet hair, crumbs and clutter that makes a home feel tired. Our bedroom and living room cleaning brings them back to calm, comfortable and fresh.
What we do in bedrooms
Dusting: dressers, night tables, headboards, shelves, lamps, picture frames, window sills and the tops of baseboards.
Beds: made neatly. If you leave fresh sheets out, add the sheet-change option ($10 per bed) and we will strip and remake the bed.
Floors: carpet vacuumed, including along the edges; hard floors vacuumed and mopped. Under the bed is vacuumed where it is reachable.
Mirrors and glass: polished, including closet mirror doors.
Tidying: clothes folded and placed on the bed or chair, items straightened on surfaces. We do not open drawers or go through personal items.
Trash: emptied.
What we do in living and family rooms
Dusting: coffee and side tables, TV stands, shelving, decor, lamps, window sills, blinds (light dust) and electronics wiped with care.
Upholstery: cushions straightened and crumbs and pet hair vacuumed from the surface and crevices of sofas and chairs. For a full fabric clean, see our upholstery cleaning service.
Floors: rugs and carpet vacuumed, hard floors vacuumed and mopped, with extra attention to entry paths and high-traffic zones.
Glass: patio doors and glass tables cleaned of fingerprints.
High-touch points: light switches, door handles and remotes wiped.
Dust and indoor air
If you dust your living room on Sunday and it looks dusty again by Wednesday, the source may not be the room at all. Dust often comes from the heating and cooling system, blown out of vents every time the furnace runs. As a NADCA-certified duct cleaning company since 2020, BlueGuard can clean the ducts too, and a deep or move clean booked together with duct cleaning gets 10% off both.
Seasonal notes
Winter: we pay attention to entry rugs and the paths where salt and grit get tracked in from the front door. Summer: pollen and fine dust from open windows settle on sills and shelves. Fall: tracked-in leaves and sand in the family room.
Pricing
Bedroom and living room cleaning is part of your standard clean: $45 for the first bedroom and $25 for each additional bedroom (a studio is $35), on top of the $99 base and your bathrooms. A studio starts from $164 before tax. Add-ons like blinds cleaning ($8 per blind, $40 minimum), sheet changes and organizing time ($50 per hour) are available when you book.

Will you change my bed sheets?
Beds are always made. To strip the bed and put on fresh sheets you leave out, add the sheet-change option for $10 per bed. Laundry can be added at $25 per load.
Do you clean under beds and furniture?
We vacuum under beds and furniture where it is reachable without lifting heavy pieces. In a deep clean or move clean, we spend more time on hard-to-reach areas.
Do your cleaners go through drawers or closets?
No. We tidy visible surfaces only and never open drawers or go through personal belongings. If you want closets or drawers organized, book organizing time at $50 per hour.
Why does my living room get dusty so quickly?
Fast-returning dust often comes from the heating system, blown out of the vents whenever the furnace runs. Regular cleaning helps, but cleaning the ducts removes the source. BlueGuard offers both, with 10% off when bundled with a deep or move clean.
Do you clean electronics and TVs?
Yes, we dust electronics and wipe TV frames and stands carefully with a dry or lightly dampened microfibre cloth. We do not spray liquids directly on screens.
