About this service

Hosting should be about the people, not the mop. Whether it is a holiday dinner, a milestone birthday, a graduation party, a baby shower or a big family visit, BlueGuard event cleaning takes care of the cleaning on both sides of the celebration so you can focus on your guests.

Before the event

A pre-event clean gets your home guest-ready: the entryway and powder room your guests will see first, a sparkling kitchen ready for cooking and serving, bathrooms stocked and fresh, entertaining areas dusted and tidied, glass doors and mirrors polished and floors vacuumed and mopped. If guests are staying overnight, add the sheet-change option ($10 per bed) for guest rooms.

After the event

The morning after is where we really earn our keep. A post-event clean includes:

Kitchen recovery: dishes washed or the dishwasher loaded and run (or unloaded and reloaded), counters, stovetop, sink and appliance fronts cleaned of spills and grease.

Entertaining areas: tables and surfaces wiped, sticky spots removed, cushions straightened, glassware and bottles gathered.

Bathrooms: cleaned and sanitized after heavy use.

Floors: vacuumed and mopped throughout, with spills and footprints removed. Salt and slush from winter guests get extra attention in the entryway.

Trash and recycling: collected, bagged and taken out, including bottles and cans gathered for recycling.

Seasonal hosting

The busiest times for event cleaning are December holidays, New Year’s Eve, Thanksgiving, Easter and summer long weekends, when backyard gatherings also mean a deck and patio that need attention. Our patio and deck cleaning ($179) can be added before a summer party, and pressure washing can refresh a deck or driveway in advance.

Pricing

Event cleaning starts from $249 before tax. The final price depends on the size of the home, the number of guests and whether you need a pre-event clean, a post-event clean or both. Book online or request a quote with a few details, and we will confirm before the day. Add-ons such as dishwashing ($20), laundry ($25 per load) and extra kitchen ($49) are available.

Planning tips

Book post-event cleans for the next morning so nothing sets overnight. For holiday dates, book a few weeks ahead: December weekends are the first to fill up. Leave access instructions if you will be out, and let us know about any fragile decor or items that should not be moved.

Event cleaning starts from $249 before tax. The final price depends on the size of the home, the number of guests and whether you want a clean before, after or both. We confirm the price before the day.

Can you come the morning after the party?

Yes, and we recommend it so spills and sticky spots do not set. Book as early as possible for holiday dates, since December and New Year’s weekends fill up first.

Do you wash the dishes after an event?

Dishes are part of the post-event kitchen reset. For very large amounts of dishes or catering equipment, let us know in advance so we plan enough time.

Can you clean the deck before a summer barbecue?

Yes. Patio and deck cleaning is $179, and pressure washing a deck is $229. Book them a few days before your event alongside your pre-event home clean.

Do you clean up after commercial events or venues?

Our event cleaning is designed for private homes. For rented venues or commercial spaces, contact us with the details and we will let you know whether we can help.
