I slept so much better after having the ducts cleaned, the Technician was on time and did a professional job. Very pleased with this service.
BlueGuard post-construction cleaning removes drywall dust, paint specks, adhesive residue and debris after renovations and new builds in Ottawa, Gatineau, Durham, Montréal and Eastern Ontario. It is priced at $0.35 per sq ft with a $399 minimum before tax, confirmed from site photos or a visit, and you pay after the job.

The contractor has packed up, the new kitchen is in and the basement finally looks like a living space. But every surface is covered in a fine grey film, there are paint specks on the floor, sticker residue on the windows and dust in places you did not know existed. Post-construction cleaning is what turns a finished renovation into a home you can actually use.
Drywall sanding and cutting produce extremely fine dust that floats for hours and settles everywhere: inside cabinets and drawers, on top of door frames, in light fixtures, on window tracks and deep in carpet. Regular cleaning tools often just push it around. Our crews work top to bottom with vacuums and microfibre designed for fine dust, and they make several passes on the surfaces where it collects.
Dust removal from walls, ceilings within reach, door frames, trim, baseboards, window frames and sills, light fixtures, switches and outlet covers.
Inside and outside cabinets, drawers, closets and built-ins.
Windows: glass cleaned inside and stickers and labels removed from new windows, fixtures and appliances where safe.
Paint specks, adhesive and caulk residue removed from hard surfaces where possible without damaging finishes.
Kitchens and bathrooms: new fixtures, counters, sinks, tubs, showers and tiles cleaned and polished, grout haze wiped.
Floors: vacuumed several times and washed, including hard floors, tile and stairs.
Vent covers wiped, with a strong recommendation to have the ductwork cleaned.
Post-construction cleaning is $0.35 per sq ft with a $399 minimum before tax. Because every project is different, the exact price is confirmed from site photos you upload when requesting a quote, or from a short visit. Very large projects are quoted individually.
Book once the trades are finished and the dusty work, especially drywall sanding, flooring installation and painting, is complete. If work will continue in some rooms, let us know and we will plan the clean so you do not pay twice.
Renovation dust gets pulled into the return air system and blown back out for months. As a NADCA-certified duct cleaning company since 2020, BlueGuard strongly recommends duct cleaning after any renovation that involved drywall or flooring work. It protects your furnace, your new finishes and the air your family breathes.
Crews are insured and background-checked, supplies and equipment are included, and you pay only after the work is done. If anything was missed, report it within 24 hours and we will return to fix it.

We remove dust, residue and small debris from surfaces and floors. Large construction waste such as drywall offcuts, lumber or old cabinets should be removed by the contractor or a junk removal service before we arrive.
In most cases, yes. We remove paint specks, adhesive and caulk residue from hard surfaces and glass where it can be done safely without damaging the finish.
